Roger was a practicing solicitor for 25 years and drove the merger between Reed Smith and Richards Butler in 2006 to create one of the largest law firms in the world. He laid the foundations for significant growth in the firm’s European and Asian markets, managing Reed Smith’s $400m business in Europe and Asia for 10 years.

 He is a market leader in professional services thinking and has led a large firm for 20 years in business planning and executing on strategy, team building and developing leaders as well as devising and implementing people engagement methodologies, effective influencing and change management and communication and building consensus.

Roger is an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 accredited coach and mentor, an accredited mediator with the Centre of Dispute Resolution and he has an LLB (Hons) from UCL. In addition to  his extensive cross-border legal and management experience Roger has sat as a non-executive on the boards of insurance and media services companies and the Committee of the City of London Law Society. Roger prides himself on listening to you, helping you work with change and the achievement of your objectives. 

As a result of the 20 years of management experience in professional services, he speaks on a wide range of topics including, managing cultures and difference to harness potential, creating unique and bespoke offerings, the power of listening and the information that emerges from open and critical questioning of your clients and people.
